This lavishly illustrated guide explores the folklore surrounding                                common flowers and plants.

155 pages of  colour botanical drawings, traditional folk remedies, culinary recipes, myths, superstitions, forgotten tales of  faeries, Kings, beautiful Princesses, dwarves, and dragons. Oh and of course a few spells to ward of evil spirits and advice on how to deal with vampires!

Violets and pansies are a powerful  faerie flower despite their size and are
frequently used in faerie love potions. It was the Wild Pansy or Heartsease that Shakespeare mentions in A Midsummer Night's Dream, where Oberon squeezes the juice of the plant into Titania's eyes so that she falls in love with Bottom.

Culinary recipes can be found in the book for example; Nettle Tea for anemia, to purify the blood, Nettle Soup and Nettle Beer.

Faerie Flora is a follow on to the successful Faeries and Folklore of the British Isles, a county by county guide to the host of supernatural beings who inhabit the British Isles.

Thanks for taking time out to read the blog and I hope you find it of interest; please let me know if you have any comments or recipes, spells etc to share, always interested to hear from you!
